International match calendar - amended dates

Dear Sir or Madam,

We are pleased to inform you that on the occasion of its recent meeting held in Johannesburg,
South Africa, on 6-7 June 2010, the FIFA Executive Committee decided, on the basis of art. 77 of
the FIFA Statutes, to include the following additional dates in the international match calendar:

• Wednesday, 1 June 2011: date for friendly matches
• Friday to Tuesday, 1 to 5 June 2012: period for two qualifying matches for international tournaments
• Friday to Tuesday, 8 to 12 June 2012: period for two qualifying matches for international tournaments
• Tuesday, 4 June 2013: date for friendly matches
• Friday to Tuesday, 14 to 18 June 2013. period for two qualifying matches for international tournaments
  

Please find enclosed the updated international match calendar for the years 2010 to 2014,
comprising all of the above amendments. Furthermore, you will also not e t hat the latest edition of
the calendar now indicates the precise dates for the CONCACAF Gold Cup and the CONMEBOL
Copa Ama to be played in June and July 2011 respectively. Likewise, the dates for the UEFA
EURO to be played in June-July 2012 have now been included in the calendar.

Finally, and with particular reference to t he additional dates included, we would like to take the
opportunity to remind you of the following release periods for which the players concerned need to
be at disposal of their association teams for preparation purposes in accordance with annexe 1, art.
1 par. 4 of the Regulations on the Status and Transfer of Players:

• a) friendly matches: 48 hours;
• b) qualifying matches for an international tournament : four days (including the day of the match). The release period shall be extended to five days if the match concerned is held in a different confederation to the one in which the player's club is registered;
• c) qualifying matches for an international tournament that are staged on a date reserved for friendly matches: 48 hours;
• d) friendly matches that are staged on a date reserved for qualifying matches for an international tournament : 48 hours.
