Between 2010 and 2014 the average salary in the Dutch Eredivisie went down from 355K to 263K. Last year however the average went up again a little to 266K. Rising average salaries are not necessarily a good thing for non EU players since work permits for players of 20 years of age and older are only issued in case a club is prepared to pat 1.5 times the average. Money that the majority of clubs can't pay.
