Is an insurance against promotion the solution for the Dutch L3 clubs? Up until now Dutch L3 clubs were able to refuse a promotion to the Jupiler League. Their motivation was simple. The regulations of the Jupiler league demand higher investments and could leave a club with huge debts after an unsuccessful season. UK based Hedgehog Risk Solutions in cooperation with the Catlin Group have develop​ped an insurance against the financial risks of success.
