“ Curtis served his full apprenticeship at Manchester City, where he spent 12 years with the club. Signed a full time scholarship at 16-18 and then signing a professional contract from 18-20. Curtis won a host a trophies with the club including the nike world club championship as well as reaching the FA Youth cup final in 2006.

Curtis has represented England U19s & U20s playing under Brian Eastick and Noel Blake earning 7 caps.

After departing Manchester City in 2009 Curtis joined Dean Saunders and Wrexham where he made over 90 appearances in the conference premier division, including a successful FA Cup run where they ran out narrow losers to Championship side Brighton & Hove Albion in the 3rd round on penalties. Curtis played for the reds for two and a half seasons. It was during the second season where he became top assister in the league earning interest from many clubs higher up. One of which was Premier League Swansea City. It was in the January of the 2012 season when Brendan Rodgers purchased Curtis for around 300k bringing him to South Wales.

Curtis became one of only a few players in history to make the jump from the conference to the premier league. Unfortunately not long after Curtis signed for Swansea Brendan departed for Liverpool FC leaving first team premiership football difficult for Curtis to come by. Michael Laudrup's arrival at the club seen Curtis loaned out to various different clubs as he searched for first team football.
